Mae Lynn Sykes Promoted to Vice President

Dennis Ammann, President and Chief Executive Officer at Peoples Bank, said that Mae Lynn Sykes has been promoted to Vice President. Sykes works in a variety of areas in the SBA department.  Recently, she moved into underwriting SBA loans as well, which carries significant additional responsibilities. In her new role, Sykes will expand her underwriting and servicing roles.

Sykes joined Peoples Bank in 2021. She has previous financial experience as an Administrative Assistant, SBA Packager, Commercial Lender Specializing in Poultry Lending and SBA Coordinator.

She is a 2006 graduate of Jones College and is currently enrolled at the University of Southern Mississippi pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Sykes has been a member of the Laurel Lions Club since 2012 and was awarded Jones County Leading Business Woman of the Year in 2016. She has been married to J.B. Sykes for 24 years.  They have two sons, Cole (22) and Matt (14).
