Duke Joins Peoples Bank As V.P., Collins

Dennis Ammann, President and Chief Executive Officer of Peoples Bank, today announced that Rod Duke has joined the bank and now serves as Vice President in the bank’s Collins Office, effective December 30, 2019.

Duke is a 1993 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management. He is also a 2015 graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking, conducted at the University of Mississippi.

Duke, a veteran banker for 20+ years, is active in a wide array of civic and economic development endeavors, including serving as a member and past president of the Covington County Chamber of Commerce and long-time Rotary member. He is also active in The Springs Church. Duke has served as president and member of the Covington County Chapter of the Mississippi State University Alumni. Duke is also on the Advisory Committee for Covington County Vo-Tech (DECA) and a participant in the Mississippi Bankers Association Banker in Every Classroom since 2013.

Duke is married to Kathy Duke, a teacher at Collins Elementary School. They have twin sons, Jarod and Jacob, who are graduates of Collins High School and are sophomores at Mississippi State University.

With Duke assuming his new role in Collins, Josh Hankins will transfer from the Collins Office to Mendenhall, where he lives. Both Duke and Hankins will provide local loan decisions in their respective markets.
